FAQs

Questions, answered.

The things people ask us most. If yours isn't here, just email — we'd rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Booking & payment

How do I book a place?

Email us or use the contact form and tell us which tour you're interested in. We'll send you the rider pack, confirm there's a seat, and take it from there. We don't do instant online checkout — we'd rather have a quick conversation first and make sure the tour actually suits you.

What's included in the price?

For the Welsh Three-Day at £695 per rider:

  • Two nights' accommodation at the base hotel
  • Two evening meals
  • Breakfast each morning
  • Fully planned and pre-ridden routes, with GPX files sent before you arrive
  • Guided riding with a lead and a sweep rider
  • Daily briefings and route support throughout

CHECK: confirm meals and breakfast are actually included at this price

What's not included?

Fuel, lunches, drinks, your own motorcycle insurance, breakdown cover, and anything you buy along the way. Getting yourself to the meeting point is on you too — though we pick meeting points that are sensible to reach.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

TO CONFIRM: deposit amount, when the balance is due, and how you take payment (bank transfer / card / other)

What if I need to cancel?

Full details are in our terms and conditions. In short: the earlier you tell us, the more we can refund, because hotel rooms get booked well in advance.

TO CONFIRM: exact cancellation windows and refund percentages

Do you run private group tours?

Yes. If you've got a group of riding mates and a rough idea of when and where, get in touch and we'll put something together. Same approach — scouted routes, one good hotel, no faff.

On the tour

How many riders are on a tour?

Up to 10. Big enough for a good dinner and decent company, small enough that we're not holding up traffic or losing anyone at a roundabout.

What standard of rider do I need to be?

You need a full motorcycle licence and to be comfortable riding a full day on unfamiliar roads — think 200 km in a day without it wiping you out. You do not need to be fast. The pace is set by the group, not the quickest rider, and there's no prize for being first to the coffee stop.

If you're not sure whether it suits you, email us and describe your riding. We'll give you an honest answer, including "probably not this one" if that's the truth.

Will I get left behind?

No. There's a lead rider at the front and a sweep rider at the back, and the sweep never passes you. We also use a marker system at junctions so nobody has to guess a turning.

What happens if the weather's bad?

We ride. The weather respects no itinerary, so we prepare for it and expect you to as well — pack for wet and cold even if the forecast looks kind. If conditions genuinely make a road unsafe we'll say so and adjust on the day.

Do I need helmet comms?

Not essential, but recommended. Cardo and Sena are the usual choices. We'll mesh the group where we can so there's a natter now and then, and a shout when something matters.

Can I bring a pillion?

TO CONFIRM: do you allow pillions, and does it change the price?

Can I skip a day or ride off on my own?

Of course — it's a holiday, not a school trip. Just tell us at the morning briefing so we're not looking for you. If you want a quiet day at the hotel, that's fine too.

Bikes & kit

What kind of bike do I need?

Anything road-legal and comfortable over distance. Adventure bikes, sports tourers and naked bikes all work fine on our routes. What matters more is that it's in good condition with legal tyres and a recent service — see preparing for your trip.

Do you hire bikes out?

No — you bring your own. TO CONFIRM: happy to recommend a hire company?

How much luggage can I bring?

Whatever fits on your bike. Because we use one base hotel, you unpack once and ride the loops light — you don't need to carry everything every day. Soft luggage is plenty.

What about breakdowns?

You'll need your own UK breakdown cover that includes recovery for motorcycles. We carry basic tools and a first aid kit, and we won't leave you at the roadside — but we're not a recovery service.

Are you insured?

Yes — public liability and tour leader cover, and documents are available on request. That's our cover, not yours: you still need your own valid motorcycle insurance, and we'd strongly recommend travel insurance too.

Still wondering?

Just ask.

If your question isn't here, email us. We'll give you a straight answer, even when it's not the one that sells a seat.
